SaltLakeSummer

While the mention of Salt Lake City often provokes thoughts of snow and outdoor winter fun, the Salt Lake summers offer plenty of fun and adventure as well. If you’re new to the Salt Lake City area or you plan to move there in the near future, keep an eye out for these and other great attractions and activities.

Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort

Even ski resorts are not confined to the winter! During the warmer months, well-stocked ponds attract families and fishermen alike, and daily trail rides provide a relaxing view of the beautiful outdoor scenery.

If you hunger for something a bit more exciting, the Alpine Slide flies down 1,300 feet of curves. Long zip lines and plenty of mountain biking trails also contribute to the atmosphere of adventure that defines summer at Snowbird.

The Salt Lake Bees

What is summer without baseball? You will never need to worry about finding out because Salt Lake City is home to the Salt Lake Bees. The Triple A team is the minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, and on holiday weekends, you can look forward to fireworks at the end of the game.

Downtown Farmers Market

Every Saturday, June through October, Pioneer Park bursts to life. Fresh produce inspires healthy living, while local meat and fish vendors shorten the distance between farm and fork. Be sure to check out the arts and crafts area of the market as well. Local artists display and sell their work each week, so there is always something new to see!
