As a Keyrenter resident, you will want to understand the process of having our maintenance team complete a scheduled and routine inspection at your property. These will most likely occur every six months, and generally within 3-4 months of your move in date, and each six months thereafter.
The purpose of the maintenance inspection is to see that the property is taking care of you and is in good condition, and to show the property manager and owner that you are taking care of the property. Our maintenance technician will check for any outstanding deferred maintenance, repairs needed, leaks, and other issues. Although you are responsible for having furnace filters replaced every 2-3 months, we will also be replacing furnace filters during this time. Photos of maintenance concerns will be taken during this time, as well as photos or a brief video showing the general condition of the property.
Here is a brief overview of what you can expect from this process.
- Notice: About 5-7 days prior to the inspection, you will receive an email and/or text with the scheduled inspection time. On the day of the inspection, the technician will also communicate the expected arrival time.
- Preparation: Please prepare by having the property presentable and free of clutter to allow the technician to easily spot any leaks or other issues which might need repair. Many of our residents use this time to clean the home in preparation, although a deep clean is not necessary for the purposes of a maintenance inspection.
- Inspection: The inspection will take between 15-30 minutes. The technician will be courteous and professional.
- Follow Up: The technician will submit the report to our office. From there work orders will be created for any work needed, and your property manager will reach out to you with any questions.
Should you have any questions regarding the process and what to expect, please reach out to our team.
